NCI NEEDLES HELP LOCAL FIRE SERVICE WITH TRAINING EXERCISE

5th July 2018. Watchkeepers from NCI Needles were amongst a number of volunteers helping our Fire Service colleagues with a training exercise.

Six watchkeepers from the NCI station on the Needles joined with other volunteers helped their Fire Service colleagues with a training scenario involving a mass evacuation from a block of flats. Playing the roles of "distressed woman" "Russian speaking immigrant" "deluded fake first aider" and smoke affected casualties, they were able to provide realism during the exercise. Although this was serious exercise, great fun was had by all the volunteers and this provided a great opportunity to help the retained firefighters from Freshwater Fire station.
