NCI REPRESENTED AT BUCKINGHAM PALACE GARDEN PARTY

24th July 2022. Here is a story we somehow missed from May 2022

Buckingham Palace offered two NCI members to represent the charity at the Queens garden party on 17th May. After much deliberation, the Board of Trustees chose Sector Managers Gail Rendle and Mike Johnson for the honour of representing NCI on what was a wonderful day in London. Gail said “The sun shone, the band played, the tea flowed and I think about half a hundred weight of sandwiches and cake must have been consumed (and that was just by Mike).  The Royal Family representing Her Majesty The Queen were HRH The Duchess of Cambridge along with Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex.  Unfortunately, we never really got close enough as there was too much of a crush”.
