NATIONAL COASTWATCH AT THE SOUTHAMPTON BOAT SHOW

14th September 2018. This year, the Annual Southampton Boat Show celebrates its 50th year and the NCI exhibition trailer is there to help them celebrate.

The Southampton Boat Show runs from Friday 14th to Sunday the 23rd September, and is open from 10:00am to 6:30pm. There are restaurants, bars, live entertainment, and over 600 boats to see on land and in the marina, so make it great a day out at the largest UK (and European) on-the-water boat show.

Come and visit the National Coastwatch stand and add your support. Our exhibition trailer is in a prime position at the centre of the show on Mayflower Park site F061, alongside the Guinness bar, catering and picnic area. Watchkeepers from many different NCI stations will be on hand to explain the role of our charity and will be happy to demonstrate how we do it and show you some of our equipment. There is also a fabulous range of merchandise to browse through.

So why not have a great day out at the Southampton Boat Show and come along and visit our exhibition trailer to say hello to our friendly watchkeepers.

About

Currently almost 60 National Coastwatch stations are operational and manned by over 2600 volunteer watchkeepers around the British Isles from Fleetwood in the North West, through Wales, to the South and East of England to Filey in North Yorkshire.

National Coastwatch watchkeepers provide the eyes and ears along the coast, monitoring radio channels and providing a listening watch in poor visibility. They are trained to deal with emergencies offering a variety of skills and experience, and full training by the National Coastwatch ensures that high standards are met.
